I never realised the chrome tips on the end of the steering column stalks were unscrewable. When i found out it seemed a good time to derust them. I used a largish nut to hold them in a vice so i could wire brush them.
Pictures show the big difference.
Rubbed a bit of car wax into them to help rust forming again.
