If you’re on the side of the road making a quick electrical repair, ideally you need to know how to do it properly and safely. Generally speaking, these types of connections are fine for circuits with 5 amps or less flowing through them and for wiring of 16 -gauge or smaller and if done properly can become permanent connections.
