When working on my engine these days and it’s a job a will be spreading over a few days I tend to put it up on the ramps.
It makes it easier on my back being a sufferer of back aches and with the car at this height makes working on the engine a lot easier.
Also with the bonnet able to open to almost a 90deg angle when released from the bonnet stay again massively increases accessibility to the engine bay.
