Quick release bonnet stay

It’s much easier to work on the engine when the bonnet is raised almost to a vertical position. So I modified the fixing connection onto the bonnet bracket to a wing nut rather than a bolt with a locking nut that requires two spanners to undo.

I have a pole i keep in my garage city to length to support the bonnet in it’s vertical position.

I modified a small socket that i had a duplicate of to slide into the stud so the wing nut could be tightened but still allowing the stay to pivot freely.
