Turning the engine to check TDC

After my last post i wanted to make sure that the TDC marking on the crankshaft pulley is in the correct place. It’s difficult to get a spanner on the end of the crankshaft (near impossible) but i could get a 22mm spanner on the alternator pulley nut. By moving the spanner back and fourth and applying pressure on the fan belt the crankshaft turned quite easily.

By removing no.1 spark plug i could then confirm that the TDC marking was correct.
