During the first year of ownership of my MGB there were 3 instances when the car lost power as if starved of fuel.
When returning home I noticed that the fuel filter that was lying horizontal on the rear bulkhead was full of vapour – I could hardly see any level of liquid fuel in the clear filter body.
At the end of last year I relocated the filter into a near vertical position that was also in a position that benefited from a blast of cool air from the hole in the rad bulkhead.
It’s only now after nearly 10 months i realise that i have not had any of the same power loss problems.
So – food for thought – there may be a connection…..and a cure.
