The mot had an advisory that the rear shocks were seeping – not leaking. About a year ago i bought a pair of hardly used recon shocks that seemed pretty genuine that were a reasonable price
See https://mgb.tips/2019/01/15/refurb-rear-shockers/
So whilst the back of the car is on axle stands seems a good idea to fit them.
After loosening the 2 bolts I tried disconnecting the knuckle joint onto the link arm which was a no go.
I undid the 4 nuts on the base of the springs tho remove link mounting plate with the link arm connected to the shockers.
Once on the bench a whack with a hammer on the side of the shockers lever adjacent to the taper jarred them apart.
A bit of a clean up and the whole thing was reassembled onto the car with the refurb shockers.
