Can you tell the difference? Well they do the same job and at first glance they do look the same ….but there are some differences.
The original fitting is the lower one of the two in the first pic and the one on the left in the second pic. The chrome insert in the knob is concave rather than convex in that it is slightly domed out. The rim of the knob is thinner on the original winder as well.
So there you have it …. the original spec window winder! ….. that was used on later chrome and throughout the rubber number MGBs
