Like many engines of this type the rocket cover leaks or seeps oil. This is mainly because the 2 screws at each end of the cover have been over tightened and distorted the shape of the cover.

The cover still “seeped” oil around the centre edges so i tried using 2 cork gaskets which did help see ….. https://mgb.tips/2022/03/13/double-rocker-cover-gaskets/
I found a silicon gasket on ebay which I bought and fitted …… so will let you know if it works.
NB. You have to glue the flat edge of the gasket to the cover so to make sure the lower mating side of the gasket is flat i left it on a flat surface to set.
