The car was fitted with alloy wheels by a previous owner but the spare was still an old rostyle wheel and tyre not in the best of condition. A proper spare wheel cover in carpet material from any of the main suppliers was £50+ which is a lot more than i felt was worth the benefit of hiding the old wheel.
I eventually found on eBay some PVC wheel dust covers for the storage of expensive alloys for only a few quid on eBay – which i bought and now does the job.
