Keen to find out why the gear stick is so sloppy got the gearbox split from the engine, cleaned up and checked out the markings which ties in to the manufacturing date of the car – so hopefully the original box …….and hopefully repairable.
It’s certainly a large unit the fact its a gearbox with the additional overdrive unit.
The blue label on the overdrive confirms it is the later LH type unit.
