The cars steering column is the same column as fitted to the car originally but with the addition of an electric motor connected in the middle, we use specially machined joints to connect all the sections together making it stronger than the original.

It mounts in the car as it did from the factory with an extra bracket on the base of the motor , which we usually attach to the pedal box or bulkhead for extra strength. our “easysteer” systems still retain the original fittings including the ignition barrel, steering wheel, column surrounds and all looks as it should,

Just an update ….. I have since got an MGRV8 which came with this easysteer fitted and am very impressed. You can easily adjust how much assist you want and its silent. Expensive but it does a good job.
